§ 01
The Idea

What Nazi actually means.

This ideology emphasizes intense national pride, cultural unity, and loyalty enforced by a powerful state apparatus. It often relies on protectionist economics to shield domestic industries while suppressing dissent and promoting a unifying nationalist narrative.

Although Nazism was not 'socialist' in the Marxist sense, the regime rejected classical laissez-faire capitalism in favor of a highly dirigiste (state-directed) approach. Officially, private businesses remained in private hands, but they were expected to serve the interests of the state ('the national community' or Volksgemeinschaft).
