Posadist
Posadism, named after J. Posadas, combines Trotskyist economic collectivism with extreme revolutionary accelerationism. Posadas believed nuclear war could destroy capitalism and lead to socialist reconstruction. Posadists also speculated about extraterrestrial socialism and the role of advanced civilizations in communist expansion. However, as Posadists never held power, the real-world application of this ideology remains speculative.
What it believes
Revolutionary Trotskyism carried to cosmic conclusions: nuclear war might midwife socialism, dolphins may be comrades, and any civilization advanced enough for interstellar travel must already be communist — so contact is a class event.
The appeal
Beneath the memes sits a real posture: total optimism that history bends toward liberation, at literally universal scale. As the far left's only eschatology with spaceships, it keeps a grip on the movement's imagination.
Where it breaks
Welcoming nuclear apocalypse as an accelerant is the reductio of vanguard logic — sacrificing the actually living for the theoretically inevitable. As program: none; as party: vanished; as warning about eschatological politics: permanently useful.
